Start by combining the melted butter, salt, black pepper, minced garlic, and Cajun seasoning together in a small bowl.

Next, place your fresh cod filets into a large baking dish and cover with your melted butter and seasonings and bake at 400° F for 10-12 or until your fish is opaque and flaky.

This easy Oven Baked Blackened Cod is a healthy dinner idea that you'll love! With only 7 ingredients you can throw this dinner together quickly and it tastes amazing!

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. Fresh Cod Fillets
  • 1/2 Cup Butter, Melted
  • 1/2 tsp. Salt
  • 1/2 tsp. Black Pepper
  • 2 tsp. Minced Garlic
  • 1 tsp. Cajun Seasoning
  • 1 Lemon, Sliced
  • Fresh Parsley for Garnish

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl combine Melted Butter, Salt, Pepper, Minced Garlic, and Cajun Seasoning.
  2. Place Fresh Cod Fillets in a Large Baking Dish. Cover with melted butter and seasonings.
  3. Bake for 10-12 Minutes at 400° F or until the Fish is opaque and flaky. (Note: Cooking time may vary depending on the thickness and size of your fish so watch it carefully).
  4. Garnish with Fresh Lemon and Parsley and serve immediately!

Notes

Prep Ahead Instructions -

In a small bowl combine Melted Butter, Salt, Pepper, Minced Garlic, and Cajun Seasoning. Store in a microwave-safe bowl in the refrigerator until ready to bake.

Cooking Instructions -

Place Cod Fillets in a large baking dish, Heat butter mixture in the microwave and pour over cod fillets. Bake at 400° F for 10-12 Minutes until White and Flaky.
