How to Make Slow Cooker Lemon Pepper Chicken
You’ll start by spraying your slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray and placing your onion at the bottom of your slow cooker.
Then, in a large bowl, combine your flour, garlic powder, paprika, lemon pepper, salt, pepper, olive oil, and chicken broth.
Next, add your chicken pieces in the seasoning bowl and cover them completely with your seasoning and place them in the bottom of your slow cooker on top of your onions.
Finally, pour your remaining sauce on top of your chicken legs in your slow cooker and cook on low for 6-8 hours until the chicken is cooked to an internal temperature of 165°. Enjoy!
If you want to cook this recipe faster, you can also cook it on high for 4-5 hours.
Substitutions
If you do not want to use Chicken Legs, you may also substitute Chicken Thighs or Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast.

Busy days call for easy dinners! This Slow Cooker Lemon Pepper Chicken can be made with Chicken Legs or Chicken Thighs and it's perfect served with a side of veggies and rolls.
Ingredients
- 1 Purple Onion, Sliced
- 1/2 Cup Chicken Broth
- 3 lbs. Chicken Legs
- 1/2 Cup Flour
- 1 Tbsp. Garlic Powder
- 2 tsp. Paprika
- 3 tsp. Lemon Pepper
- 1 tsp. Salt
- 1 tsp. Pepper
- 1/2 Cup Olive Oil
- Non-stick Cooking Spray
Instructions
- Spray slow cooker with Non-Stick Cooking Spray
- Place Onions on the bottom of the slow cooker
- In a large bowl combine Flour, Garlic Powder, Paprika, Lemon Pepper, Salt, Pepper, Olive Oil and Chicken Broth
- Add in Chicken Pieces one at a time, covering completely and then place each chicken piece in the slow cooker on top of the onions.
- Pour any remaining sauce over the top of the chicken
- Cook on low for 6-8 hours until the chicken is cooked to an internal temperature of 165° (or cook on high for 4-5 hours)
Notes
