Ingredients Needed:

Beef – Beef stew meat

Pantry – Olive oil, dry onion soup mix, Worcestershire sauce, beef broth, cornstarch

Seasoning – Salt, black pepper

Dairy – Milk

Produce – Minced garlic, russet potatoes

Why Make Slow Cooker Beef Tips & Gravy

Start by heating your olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and then adding in your beef stew meat, salt, and pepper. Then, saute everything together until your meat is completely cooked.

Next, whisk together your beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, onion soup mix, minced garlic, and corn starch.

Now, place the meat pieces in the bottom of your slow cooker and pour your broth mix over the top.

You’ll cook your beef mix on low for 6 hour or on high for 4 hours.

While your beef is cooking, place your diced potatoes in a large pot covered with salt water. Bring it to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes.

Then, drain the water and mash your potatoes with milk, salt, and pepper.

Finally, serve your cooked beef stew over your mashed potatoes. Enjoy!

Prep-Ahead Instructions

Brown Beef Stew pieces in a large skillet over Medium-High Heat. Whisk together Beef Broth, Onion Soup Mix, Worcestershire Sauce, Minced Garlic and Cornstarch. Place the Beef Stew Pieces and Sauce Mixture in a large Ziploc bag. Seal Tightly and store in the refrigerator until ready to cook.

Cooking Instructions

Place the contents of the Ziploc bag in a Slow cooker and cook on High for 4 hours or low for 6 hours. Serve over freshly made Mashed Potatoes.

Slow Cooker Beef Tips & Gravy are a tender beef recipe that tastes delicious served over mashed potatoes!

Ingredients

  • 3 lbs. Beef Stew Meat
  • 3 Tbsp. Olive Oil
  • 1 tsp. Salt
  • 1 tsp. Black Pepper
  • 1 Package Dry Onion Soup Mix
  • 3 Cups Beef Broth
  • 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire Sauce
  • 2 tsp. Minced Garlic
  • 3 Tbsp. Cornstarch
  • 1 1/2 lbs. Russet Potatoes, Peeled and Diced
  • 1 Cup Milk
  • 3 Tbsp. Butter
  • 1 tsp. Salt
  • 1 tsp. Black Pepper

Instructions

  1. Heat Olive Oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add in Beef Stew Meat, Salt and Pepper and sauté until the meat is cooked completely (around 8-10 minutes depending on the size of your pieces).
  2. Whisk together Beef Broth, Worcestershire sauce, Onion Soup Mix, Minced Garlic and Cornstarch.
  3. Place the Meat Pieces in the bottom of a large slow cooker. Top with the Broth & Soup Mixture.
  4. Cook on Low for 6 Hours or High for 4 hours.
  5. To Make Mashed Potatoes place the Diced Potatoes in a Large Pot covered with Salted Water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes. Drain Water and mash the potatoes with Milk, Butter, Salt and Pepper using a hand mixer or potato masher.
  6. Serve cooked Beef Stew Meat over the Mashed Potatoes.
