Chicken Pasta Primavera Is..

Ingredients Needed:

Produce – Zucchini, Yellow Squash, Red Bell Pepper, Frozen Broccoli Florets, Shredded Carrots, Yellow Onion, Minced Garlic

Dairy – Shredded Parmesan Cheese, Milk, Butter

Chicken – Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breast

Pasta – I used Penna Pasta to create this dish. Feel free to use your preference for Pasta and cook according to package directions.

Spices – Salt, Pepper

Olive Oil

Flour

How to Make Chicken Pasta Primavera

This is a visual walk-through created for readers. The Full Recipe can be found in the recipe card located at the bottom of this post.

Begin by cooking your Pasta in a Large Saucepan according to package directions. Then, drain the water and set aside.

Next, cook the Olive Oil, Chicken, and 1/2 of the Salt & Pepper over Medium-High Heat for 8-10 minutes. Then, remove the Chicken from the pan and set aside. Once cooled, cut into bite-size pieces.

Add Chopped Zucchini, Squash, Red Pepper, Broccoli, Carrots, Onion and Garlic to the skillet and sauté with 1/2 Cup of water for 5-6 minutes until tender.

In a separate pan melt the butter over Medium Heat. Sprinkle flour over melted butter and stir until the flour is absorbed.

Slowly add in the Milk stirring frequently as you add the milk so the sauce thickens. Add in the remaining Salt, Pepper and Parmesan cheese and stir until melted.

In a large baking dish or serving bowl toss the Pasta, Chopped Chicken, Sauce, and Veggies together and serve.

Can I Prep this Pasta Ahead of Time?

This is a great option to prep ahead when you have a busy week! Cook everything according to the instructions above. When you get to the final step, place all ingredients in a large baking dish and cover with Aluminum foil. Store in the refrigerator until ready to bake.

Cooking Instructions

Remove foil. Top with additional Parmesan Cheese if desired and bake at 350° for 20-25 minutes until warmed all the way through.

If you love a flavorful pasta dish, this is a great one! With 7 vegetables, you get tons of flavor packed into this Chicken Pasta Primavera recipe!

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs. Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast
  • 2 Tbsp. Olive Oil
  • 12 oz. Penne Pasta
  • 1 Zucchini, Cut in Half and Sliced
  • 1 Yellow Squash, Cut in Half and Sliced
  • 1 Red Bell Pepper, Sliced
  • 12 oz. Frozen Broccoli Florets
  • 4 oz. Shredded Carrots
  • 1/2 Yellow Onion
  • 1 tsp. Minced Garlic
  • 1/2 Cup of Water
  • 3 Tbsp. Flour
  • 3 Tbsp. Butter
  • 2 Cups Milk
  • 5 oz. Shredded Parmesan Cheese
  • 1 tsp. Salt
  • 1 tsp. Black Pepper

Instructions

  1. In a large saucepan cook the pasta according to package directions. Drain the water and set aside.

Notes

Prep Ahead Instructions:

Cook everything according to the instructions above. When you get to the final step, place all ingredients in a large baking dish and cover with Aluminum foil. Store in the refrigerator until ready to bake.
