Taco salads are so simple to make and a great meal that each person can dress their salad how they would like.

I have even made these salads and some a taco salad bar. Place all the fun toppings you would like and let your family or guests walk through and create a custom salad to fit their liking.
What Goes With Taco Salad?
You can pair your taco salad with some chips and salsa, Mexican corn salad, etc. Or you can even eat it plain if you would like.
Or if you have Mexican rice that would be a great side, or even use it to mix in the salads to make it even heartier.

Can I Swap Out The Meat
If you want you are more than welcome to use a ground chicken, turkey or even pork.
You will find using a leaner meat it can dry out faster when cooking. Feel free to add a little oil to help it not stick in the pan as it cooks.
I also recommend using a meat chopper if you haven’t tried one. It is great for getting the meat all ground up into smaller pieces.
Storing Leftovers
If you have leftover meat you can store it in the fridge for a few days. You will want to store your toppings and salad mix separate or it will break down and sog up if stored altogether.
